Your painting holiday is hosted by myself and 5 world class watercolour artists, Brienne Brown, Dan Marshall, Keiko Tanabe, Ron Stocke and Randy Hale, all renowned both for their painting and their teaching. Although each artist will act as host for their own guests, you will get to meet and become friends with painters from all over the world, as well as getting to spend time with some of your favorite master painters. We’ll be having conversational panel discussions after dinner where you can ask questions of the leaders. We will be doing demos mornings and afternoons throughout the cruise, so painters can sign up to watch a particular leader at an appointed time and location. Each day we will be painting at a completely new location. Although not a workshop as such, you will not fail to be inspired both by the hosts and your fellow guests. Should you wish to take a break from painting, there are many shore excursions available, making this holiday particularly suitable for non painting partners.LIFE ON BOARD
Your first class accommodation travels with you, including daily housekeeping so everything is always neat and tidy for you. And just think, we traverse four countries but with no need to pack or unpack – your room travels with you. There is a heated pool, a gift shop, laundry service, fitness room, massage room and a Viennese coffee shop. During the cruise we vist many perfect painting locations. This is a chartered cruise, solely for us with no other groups on board. Our ship is the newest in the Amadeus line, The Amadeus NOVA. It is being launched and named this June and includes all of the most up-to-date amenities. River cruise ships are built to certain size constraints dictated by the locks on the European waterways. They are only three decks in height. Staterooms on the main and upper deck all have window walls that retract so you feel as though you are on a veranda watching the countryside glide by. The lower deck staterooms have a smaller non-opening window. The upper deck also has suites with balconies. Above everything is the sundeck with canopies, lounge chairs, a fleet of touring bicycles, a putting green, shuffleboard and a sundeck lounge – all offering excellent viewing while underway.
